The Assessor's Office is in process of updating sales and building permits as received from the County. Now is the time to have a discussion if you feel your property is not assessed correctly. Changes can only be made to the 2022 assessment roll at this time, by NYS Law.
Exemption renewal forms will be sent in early December for renewal for the 2022 assessment roll. New exemption applications can be submitted at any time (agriculture, veteran's, Enhanced STAR,). If you are a Senior, turning 65 in 2022 and your income (including Social Security, Pension, rental, dividends, etc) is below $30,000 for 2021, you might want to come in and have a discussion with this office to see if you qualify for a Senior exemption.
Feel free to pop in when the clerk or Assessor is in or call and schedule an appointment if you wish to have a discussion regarding your property.
